Frequently Asked Questions

Please note: Some of these items have changed during COVID-19 pandemic. Please reach out to the office with any questions.

What should I wear to worship on Sundays?

Dressing up is NOT a requirement to worship with us at Lord of Life! Some do wear their "Sunday best," while you'll find others dressed in jeans and a casual shirt... wear what is comfortable for YOU! We believe the most important part about Sunday morning is showing up, ready to worship God.

Is there childcare available during both Sunday services?

Yes! Visit our nursery page to learn more.

What affiliation is Lord of Life?

We are a member congregation of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA.

What kind of outreach is the church involved in?

Reaching out in loving service to those in need in our community and beyond is a core value of Lord of Life. Click here to learn about how we are living out this mission.

How often do you offer communion? Can a visitor take communion?

We regularly celebrate communion on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, and special days celebrating Jesus’ life and mission for the life of the world today. We believe in open communion – that means that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion, whether they are a church member or not.

Can I host a funeral or wedding at your church if I’m not a member?

Yes! For specific requirements and information, please email our office or call us at 763-427-1100.

How do I submit a prayer request?

We have a prayer team of staff and caring volunteers who pray continually for needs as they arise. Please click here to email your prayer request. Prayer shepherds are also available to pray with you after each service on Sundays.
