Diaconos 2026 — Serving, Growing, Adventuring Together

We’re heading east to the Diaconos program at Kirchenwald!

Diaconos is a unique, customizable week designed for youth groups to combine meaningful service with unforgettable adventure. Throughout the week, students will step into hands-on service opportunities in the surrounding community — physically living out the ministry of Christ in real and tangible ways.

This experience is about more than service. It’s about growing in faith, building stronger relationships, and sharing the Good News together. Through intentional group time, worship, and reflection, students will deepen their spiritual lives while supporting and encouraging one another.

Adventure and recreation are also key parts of the Diaconos experience. From outdoor challenges to team-building activities, these opportunities push groups to work together, overcome obstacles, and celebrate what they can accomplish as one body in Christ.

Kirchenwald is a camp of the Lutheran Church (ELCA), offering a beautiful setting for growth, connection, and transformation.

We are excited to be planning this trip alongside the youth from Cross of Hope Lutheran Church — strengthening friendships and faith as we serve together!
